When peace eventually comes to Chechnya, it is essential, at least in this century,
to return to this issue again and again, much like we return to the past GULAG and the Holocaust!
Because the degree of those numerous, ultimately atrocious crimes against humanity is not only determined by the number of victims. It is determined by the degree of moral decline of the part of humanity that is responsible for these crimes, and by the degree of indifference of another part, that is also responsible, though indirectly, by failure to even notice these crimes let alone the attempts to stop them.
